I wanted to say a huge thank you to Ginger Vieira for all of her help and guidance in Life Coaching. I found Ginger thru my addiction to diabetes blog reading. I say that with the biggest smile on my face. I cannot recall exactly whose blog I found Ginger thru, but I know that I am beyond thankful that I found her.

I am a 32 yr old female living with type 1 diabetes (20 yrs now) and a relatively new diagnosis of celiac disease as well (1.5 yrs now). Because of these things I felt that Ginger could likely “really get me” since in her own website she shared that she too has type 1 diabetes and celiac disease. At the time I had been struggling to get pregnant for what felt like an eternity and I had contacted Ginger via email to ask if this was even something she felt she could assist me with. I knew of course that she couldn’t possibly help me get pregnant, but she felt she could help me deal with the stresses and pressures that could be associated with my difficulties in getting pregnant.

We began talking every week and instantly I felt comfortable. I recall telling her after our first session that I was shocked at just how comfortable I felt talking about such personal things with someone whom I’d never even met face-to-face. Things continued to progress smoothly and together we found that there was more going on in my life (of course) than simply the frustration of not getting pregnant; including my desire to regain control over my own work-life balance and my desire to find an outlet for my frustrations whatever they may be; just to name a few. With Ginger’s help I set some feasible goals and worked each day towards making them a reality. Each week we would revisit and adjust the goals as necessary and add or remove some as well.

While I cannot give all the credit away, I do believe that Ginger was paramount in helping me to regain my confidence and feel truly supported in my fears related to getting pregnant one way or another. And in the end…with no medical intervention at all, in January I found out that I was pregnant! It was so exciting being able to share this with Ginger and to know that it actually happened. Ginger’s support and empowering nature was a true g-d send to me in my quest for self betterment and of course in getting pregnant. Thank you Ginger for everything!
