When it comes to a disease like diabetes, you are the one who makes all the decisions in the end. It’s your body. Just because someone of authority tells you they think you should do this or that does not mean they are always right. If you feel or know that something isn’t right, you have to speak up for yourself!
Of course, this applies to all aspects of life, and it’s not easy to do! We could apply this thinking to dating (being pressure to engage in more than you’re ready for), to eating out with friends (being lured into eating junk while you’re trying to eat a healthy diet), drinking and drugging (being pressured to drink more than you want or smoke something you don’t want to smoke!).
But here, I’m talking about diabetes. Speak up.
